Sudan’s Minister of Justice, Dr. Abdullah Dirif, affirmed full support for the Arab Lawyers Union’s investigation into rebel militia crimes, including war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide against civilians. The committee, formed in November 2023, has been collecting testimonies from displaced victims abroad and is now hearing victims inside Sudan.
Minister of Finance Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim and Justice Undersecretary Ali Khidr also pledged government backing, while committee chairman Mohammad Al-Murad emphasized producing an evidence-based, credible report for regional and international bodies.
