Chairman of the General Assembly of the General Nuba Union, Dr. Ali Al-Shaib Abu Diqin, reaffirmed the Union's full support for the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), pledging continued backing until the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia is defeated. He also called for an international investigation into RSF violations during the war.
Speaking at SUNA's 58th media forum in Omdurman, Abu Diqin said the Union is working to unite the political and intellectual components of the Nuba Mountains around shared national values.
He paid tribute to fallen members of the SAF and supporting forces and wished the wounded a speedy recovery, stressing the need to rally behind the Battle of Dignity.
Abu Diqin accused the RSF of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, urging the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the United Nations to investigate. He said the international community's silence over violations in El-Fashir, Al-Gezira State, and elsewhere raises serious concerns about international justice.
He also called for strengthening social cohesion, rejecting hate speech, and reinforcing national unity to prevent division and tribal conflict.
