NEW YORK, (Nabaa Sudan) — Adviser to the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Amjad Farid, said in a post on X that he met on Thursday with International Crisis Group Executive Director Dr. Comfort Ero and her team in New York, where they discussed Sudan’s path toward peace.
He said they discussed the peace framework proposed by the Sudanese government as an “inward-looking national vision” that deserves more serious international attention than attempts to impose externally developed solutions.
“A credible peace process remains one led by Sudanese themselves, and it is the fastest way to end the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia’s attacks on civilians and restore the country’s unity and territorial integrity,” he added.
