New York, (SUNA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Mohieddin Salem met on Tuesday with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Caribbean Affairs of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Sean Sobers, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The Foreign minister congratulated his counterpart on the election of Trinidad and Tobago as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2027–2028 term, expressing his desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation and support Sudan’s issues at the Security Council.
For his part, Sean Sobers reaffirmed his country’s commitment to supporting efforts to achieve security and stability in Sudan while preserving its unity and sovereignty.
