Bangkok (Nabaa Sudan) – Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim discussed with President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser ways to resume cooperation and strengthen support for economic recovery and reconstruction efforts. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group in Bangkok.
The discussions covered the settlement of financial obligations, completion of arrangements for resuming cooperation, and acceleration of ongoing projects, foremost among them Al-Gadharef Water Project. They also addressed the completion of arrangements for a technical assistance grant for the Single Treasury Account (STA) project.
The President of the IsDB Group affirmed the group’s readiness to work with Sudan to address its financial situation, create the conditions necessary to resume financing, and support the country’s development priorities.
