Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries Professor Ahmed El-Tigani El-Mansouri discussed, during a meeting with livestock producers and breeders at the Guest House in Wad Madani, ways to establish “Hope Livestock Production Cities” in Al-Gezira State, with the aim of developing the livestock, fisheries and poultry sectors and maximizing added value and economic returns.

The minister affirmed that the state is well positioned to become an advanced center for livestock and fisheries production at the regional level, noting that the project seeks to transition from traditional production methods to an integrated production system based on international technical standards and specifications. This would contribute to improving production, management and marketing, enhancing product quality and strengthening competitiveness.

For their part, livestock producers and breeders affirmed their readiness to participate in the project and enter into partnerships that contribute to developing the sector. They stressed the importance of establishing integrated production cities that provide the necessary services, increase productivity and economic returns, and create new employment opportunities for the people of the state.
