The Ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, Ambassador Al-Zein Ibrahim Hussein, met in Addis Ababa with the Director General of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority, Yohannes Abiyra, in the presence of representatives of Sudan’s national airlines.
The Sudanese delegation included representatives from Badr Airlines and Tarco Aviation. The two sides explored prospects for developing and regularising civil air transport between the two countries in accordance with the signed bilateral agreements, in a manner that facilitates the movement of citizens and supports trade exchange.
The Ambassador reviewed recent positive developments in Sudan, including the return of state institutions to Khartoum and the resumption of operations at Khartoum International Airport to accommodate both domestic and international flights.
Both sides affirmed the importance of strengthening cooperation between airlines in the two countries, underscoring the principle of reciprocity in a manner that safeguards mutual interests.
