KHARTOUM (Naba Sudan) — Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Engineer Lt. General Ibrahim Jaber chaired the regular meeting of the Economic Performance Monitoring Committee at the headquarters of the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS).
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Antiquities and Tourism, Dr. Graham Abdel-Gadir, said in a press statement that the meeting discussed several issues, including the status of implementation of previous assignments and decisions, as well as proposals to attract savings held by Sudanese expatriates.
Dr. Graham said the meeting heard a report from Interior Minister Lt. General (Police) Babiker Samra Mustafa on the implementation of the unified-window project at ports and border crossings under the Baldna platform.
He added that the meeting reviewed progress in expanding the tax base, export revenues, and electronic tax collection across the states. It also discussed measures taken regarding the trade protocol with South Sudan.
