The Sudan Meteorological Authority on Tuesday warned of moderate to heavy rainfall in scattered areas of seven states under a high-risk orange alert, effective from 3 p.m. until 11 p.m.
The warning covers southern Al-Gadharef and Al-Gezira, southern Northern Kordofan, northern and central South Kordofan, eastern and southwestern West Kordofan, and eastern and central Darfur.
The authority urged citizens to exercise caution and avoid low-lying areas, wadis (valleys), and roads that may be flooded. It also called on residents to take necessary precautions against dust, particularly those suffering from allergies.
