Al-Damer, (Nabaa Sudan) – The Pediatric and Neonatal Surgery Team at Al-Aziziya Specialized Hospital in Al-Damer successfully performed a complex surgical procedure on a four-month-old girl who had been suffering from obstructive jaundice since birth, according to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA).
The procedure involved addressing blocked and malformed bile ducts by connecting a segment of the intestine to the bile duct, followed by reconnecting the intestine to itself using the Roux-en-Y anastomosis technique.
