Health Minister Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, together with Al-Gezira State Wali Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair, inaugurated in Madani a Qatar Charity project for open-heart surgery and cardiac catheterization for children, in the presence of the Acting Chargé d’Affaires of the Qatari Embassy in Sudan.
Implementing partners announced the execution of 50 pediatric cardiac catheterization procedures and 200 cataract surgeries under a program covering four states.
The Health Minister said the project reflects the recovery of the health sector in Al-Gezira State, while the Wali praised Qatar’s continued support to the state in the health and humanitarian fields.
