Sudan’s UN Mission Reports Organ Trafficking at Nyala Prison, Calls for International Investigation

سجن داقريس

The Permanent Mission of Sudan to the United Nations has submitted a letter to the UN Security Council citing reports of organ trafficking activities at Daqris Prison in Nyala, South Darfur State, and the involvement of medical personnel from Colombia and Serbia.

According to the letter, victims were selected from among prisoners affiliated with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Joint Forces under the pretext of being released. The mission said they were subsequently killed, their organs removed, and their bodies buried at sites linked to the 16th Infantry Division in Nyala to conceal evidence.

The mission called on the United Nations and the Security Council to launch an independent international investigation and hold those responsible accountable for the reported violations.
