The UK-based Human Appeal Sudan Office has launched its fourth hearing treatment camp at the Zahra Noreen Center in Omdurman, aiming to provide medical services to 500 people and supply hearing aids to patients in need as part of its efforts to improve access to healthcare for the most vulnerable communities.
Elham Al-Mubarak, the organization's Project Manager, said the camp is part of a series of health initiatives implemented since the outbreak of the war in 2023. Approximately 1,500 patients benefited from three previous hearing camps in Khartoum State, while another 500 people received services in Al Gezira State, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 2,000.
She affirmed that Human Appeal will continue its health and humanitarian programs, noting that the current hearing camp will run until July 22.
