Sources: Secret Meeting in Nyala Brings Together Leaders of “Qimam” Civil Coalition

اجتماع سري في نيالا

Informed sources said a secret and unexpected meeting was recently held in Nyala, bringing together leaders of the United Civil Force (Qimam) and officials from its offices in Darfur, Kordofan, Al Gezira, White Nile, and eastern Sudan.

According to the sources, the meeting was attended by several members of the Tasis Government and heads of civil administrations, including Hamed Hamdeen Al-Nuwairi, Saleh Juma, Yousif Elyan, Mohamed Idris Khater, and Yousif Idris Yousif, as well as Qimam leaders Haroun Mahmoud Medeikhir, Mahdi Al-Hadi Dabka, Al-Samani Ahmed Al-Samani, and Sheikh Juma.

The sources said the meeting was convened under direct instructions from the commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, who is seeking to consolidate his control over the political landscape amid concerns over potential splits within the Tasis alliance. They added that the gathering aimed to provide substantial financial and administrative support to the coalition's political wing while keeping its activities out of public view to avoid alarming other alliance partners.

According to the sources, participants agreed that the attending governors would allocate designated funds to support the coalition's offices, stressing that the financing should remain confidential and undisclosed to other parties. They also agreed to establish a four-member committee to oversee the flow of funds and immediately launch a broad campaign across RSF-controlled areas to promote the coalition's charter and objectives.

The developments come as the RSF commander seeks to revive the so-called Advisory Council, regarded as one of his key political support structures, after it became stagnant due to weak performance and the failure of its leadership—particularly the General Secretariat—to achieve tangible political progress, prompting direct intervention to reinforce the body and maintain the loyalty of its cadres.
