Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said the Muslim world would achieve little if it continued to pin its hopes on others, calling on Muslim countries and peoples to strengthen their unity and build their security collectively.
Erdoğan said Muslims are compelled to build security in their region together, stressing that there is strength in unity and that Türkiye is working to expand alliances and reduce divisions, both among Muslim countries and across the wider Islamic world.
He expressed his aspiration for the Muslim Ummah to regain its unity and cohesion, coming together “like the bricks of a single wall,” while recalling the historic role the Muslim world played in shaping the course of history and establishing order across the world for centuries.
The Turkish president stressed the need for Muslims to move together toward the future on the basis of mutual trust, solidarity and collective action, “shoulder to shoulder and heart to heart.”
