British MP Ian Duncan Smith has criticized the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) role in the Sudan war, calling on the UK government to impose sanctions on figures linked to support for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and asking: “Why don’t we stop the money fueling this war?”
Duncan Smith accused London of turning a blind eye to the UAE’s role because of Emirati interests and investments in Britain, urging measures to prevent those involved from benefiting from their assets in the UK.
