Chairman of the National Committee for Mobilization and Popular Resistance, Lt. Gen. Bashir Makki Al-Bahi, praised the improved security, stability, and restoration of services in Al-Gezira State.
Al-Bahi commended the close coordination between the state government and the Popular Resistance, saying the committee's visit to Wad Madani forms part of a nationwide tour to assess the Popular Resistance's activities, review administrative arrangements, and inspect operational readiness.
He reaffirmed the committee's commitment to training all able-bodied citizens to bear arms in support of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), with the aim of countering threats and defending the country, while praising the sacrifices made by volunteers across Sudan.
For his part, Al-Gezira Wali Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair reaffirmed the strong coordination between the state government and the Popular Resistance, noting its active role in community service initiatives.
He also stressed the continuation of mobilization efforts across all fronts, advanced weapons training, deployment of fighters to frontline positions, and maintaining full readiness to defend the state.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Mobilization and Popular Resistance in Al-Gezira State, Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Abdullah Al-Turaifi, reviewed the Popular Resistance's military and civilian activities, highlighting its broad contribution to community needs and commending the strong support it receives from the state government.
