Mohamed Dedan, spokesperson for the Western Kordofan special operations, said they had monitored more than 30 trucks since Sunday through Monday morning carrying Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia members who had changed into civilian clothes and abandoned their weapons before leaving areas controlled by the militia in North Kordofan for Darfur.
In a Facebook post, Dedan described the movements as “long-overdue steps toward surrender,” noting that most of the trucks were within range of fire from opposing forces and reconnaissance units.
