The Sudanese Security and Defense Council held its regular meeting on Sunday, chaired by President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.

At the outset of the meeting, the Council congratulated the Sudanese Armed Forces, other regular services, supporting forces, and the Popular Resistance on the victories achieved across all battlefronts.

The Council, as the sole body responsible for issues related to war, peace, and the relevant negotiations, held extensive discussions on a proposal submitted by the mediating countries regarding the peace process in Sudan. It expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the mediating countries.

The Council reaffirmed its firm position on the peace process and prepared an agreed-upon response. It also stressed that recent reports and leaks circulating on social media regarding the matter were inaccurate.

The Council called on all parties to refrain from circulating any information that could affect national security or undermine any future peace process.

It reiterated the Sudanese government's openness to and welcome of any initiatives that meet the aspirations and ambitions of the Sudanese people while preserving the country's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The Council prayed for mercy upon the martyrs, wished a speedy recovery to the wounded and injured, and expressed hope for the safe return of prisoners and missing persons.
