The two main bridges crossing Kaja Valley in Al-Geneina, West Darfur State, have been rendered inoperable, significantly disrupting supply routes used by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia from Chad.
The first bridge was destroyed during the early stages of the conflict. The second crossing, the Ardamata Bridge, became unusable following a strike carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) last week.
