Sudan’s Acting Chargé d’Affaires in Paris, Ambassador Hamid Al-Juzouli Khalid, received France’s new Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa and Sudan, Jean-Marie Safa, and discussed developments in Sudan, as well as the government’s efforts to prepare for reconstruction and launch a national dialogue.
The two sides stressed the importance of national dialogue in achieving peace and stability, while Sudan expressed its hope for French support in addressing the country’s humanitarian and development challenges.
The French envoy underscored his country’s interest in the Sudanese dossier, stressing the importance of national dialogue and a ceasefire. He also revealed that the French Foreign Minister intends to visit Sudan.
