New York, (Nabaa Sudan) – Governor of Darfur Region Minni Arko Minawi arrived in the United States on Sunday to participate in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly.

In a post on his Facebook page, Minawi said he would hold meetings with a number of officials to raise issues concerning Sudan, foremost among them the humanitarian situation, ways to end the war, and violations committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia against civilians, particularly in the Darfur Region.

He renewed his commitment to remaining a voice for his people and defending Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as the Sudanese people’s right to peace and justice.
