Minister of Culture, Information, Antiquities and Tourism Khalid Al-Eiser visited the Egyptian Satellite Company (Nilesat) on Sunday to strengthen media and satellite cooperation between Sudan and Egypt.

Al-Eiser met Nilesat Chairman Major General Sameh Qotta, with discussions focusing on expanded technical cooperation, satellite broadcasting, and the use of modern technologies to enhance Sudanese media services.

As a direct outcome of the visit, Sudan TV began HD broadcasting on Nilesat at 11137 Vertical, marking a practical step in the two countries’ expanding media partnership.

Al-Eiser praised Egypt’s continued support for Sudan, describing it as a historic expression of the depth of relations between the two peoples.

The two sides agreed to continue coordination through joint delegations and pursue broader partnerships in media, satellite technology, and related fields.
