As part of efforts to monitor the situation along the border strip, reassure citizens, and dispel recent rumors stemming from clashes between rival Ethiopian parties, the Security Committee of Al-Fashaga Locality conducted an extensive inspection tour on Tuesday morning along the border between Sudan and Ethiopia.
The delegation was led by the Executive Director of Al-Fashaga Locality, Al-Rasheed Al-Amin Gismallah, accompanied by members of the Security Committee.
The field tour covered the Fifth Brigade, the Om Barakit Sector, and City 8. The committee also inspected the situation in these sectors and the border area of Al-Godeimah.
The committee checked on the conditions of the forces stationed in the area and local residents, reaffirming the state's sovereignty and the cohesion of national defense positions along the border.
The committee also reviewed recent media reports claiming that Ethiopian army forces had entered Sudanese territory. The field inspection confirmed that these claims were unfounded, with all sites remaining under the full control of Sudanese Armed forces.
