Khartoum, (Nabaa Sudan) – Head of the National Forces Coordination, Mohamed Sidahmed Al-Jakoumi, said determining the management, participants and agenda of Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue was the responsibility of political forces, reaffirming the coordination’s support for the Dialogue Preparatory Committee in its efforts to bring together political forces and unify their vision regarding the crisis.
Al-Jakoumi said the dialogue should be Sudanese-Sudanese and should not exclude any political component, except “Tasis” and its allies, according to the coordination’s position. He noted that the committee was working to reach understandings on the management of the dialogue, its participants and its agenda.
He disclosed that the coordination was in contact with the African Union, the Arab League and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) to support the Dialogue Preparatory Committee, announcing a forthcoming meeting with the Chairperson of the African Union, the President of Burundi, on September 28 to seek support for the Sudanese dialogue and discuss lifting the suspension of Sudan’s membership in the African Union.
Al-Jakoumi expressed reservations about the role of the United Nations and the position of the European Union, accusing the latter of supporting the “Tasis” and “Sumoud” groups.
