The Director General of the Sudanese Civil Defense Forces, Othman Atta, announced the integration of drones into aerial monitoring, firefighting, and rapid emergency and disaster response operations.
Othman Atta said the step aims to strengthen the forces’ capabilities in handling accidents and disasters, improve the efficiency of rescue and firefighting operations, and facilitate access to remote areas.
He added that the drones will help monitor gatherings, collect information, transport equipment and medicines to affected areas, and provide necessary aid to those impacted.
