الكتلة الديمقراطية

The Democratic Bloc announced its decision not to participate in the meeting called by the Quint Mechanism in Addis Ababa, attributing its position to the absence of consensus over procedural arrangements and the principle of national ownership of the dialogue, in addition to the conflation of the political and security tracks, as well as the invitation extended to the “Tasees” alliance to participate.

The signatories to the statement called for a Sudanese–Sudanese dialogue to be held inside the country, with broad participation from the various national components.

Among the signatories were the Chairman of the Democratic Bloc; the Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Unionist Party (Origin); the Chairman of the Justice and Equality Movement; the Chairman of the High Council of Beja Chiefdoms; the Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Forces Gathering; the Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Movement/Transitional Council; the Chairman of the Democratic Unionist Party/Revolutionary Front; the Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Movement; the Chairman of the Revolutionary Awakening Council; the Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Movement/Leadership Council; the Chairman of Civil Society in Eastern Sudan; and the Chairman of the Registered Democratic Unionist Party, in addition to Nabil Adib, Abdul Rahman Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, and Sally Zaki.
