Authorities in eastern Libya have arrested five Sudanese nationals and transferred them to the Qanfoodah in Benghazi, according to local sources.

The five Sudanese nationals were placed at the shelter pending the completion of procedures for their deportation to Sudan.

The move comes as Libyan authorities continue to enforce measures regulating the presence of foreign nationals in eastern Libya, particularly those without valid residency or legal documentation.
The detainees are expected to remain at the Qanfoodah center until the necessary administrative and legal procedures are completed ahead of their repatriation to Sudan.
