Khartoum, (Nabaa Sudan) – Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim discussed with Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Saif Al-Nasr Al-Tijani Haroun plans to rehabilitate transport projects affected by the war, foremost among them railways, roads and bridges.
Gebreil called for the preparation of a 2027 plan focusing on rehabilitating export routes, particularly the Port Sudan–Kassala–Adré route, the coastal road, and the Wadi Halfa–Argeen route, along with preparing technical studies, dividing the projects into sectors and putting them out to companies for implementation.
He stressed the importance of equipping roads with the necessary services to attract exporters, noting that the railway network would open new prospects and opportunities to provide Sudan with resources and boost trade with neighboring countries.
