Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mohi-Eddin Salim, held talks with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel-Aatty, in Cairo on ways to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance joint cooperation between the two countries across various fields.
During the meeting, both sides affirmed the depth of the historical relations between Sudan and Egypt and expressed their commitment to continued coordination and consultation in a manner that serves their mutual interests. The discussions also addressed the latest developments in Sudan.
The Egyptian side reiterated its support for Sudan’s unity and sovereignty and rejected any parallel entities, while stressing the importance of reaching a humanitarian truce that would pave the way for a ceasefire and the resumption of the political process, as well as ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to affected areas.
