The Chief Executive Officer of GIAD Industrial Group, Engineer Abdullah Abdal-Maarouf, announced that all arrangements have been finalized to reopen the group’s main headquarters in Khartoum, confirming GIAD’s full readiness to resume services and roll out new projects in line with government directives to return to the capital.
In a statement to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), Abdal-Maarouf said GIAD has resumed operations in 18 locations nationwide and is contributing to the reconstruction of institutions damaged during the war waged by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
He noted the introduction of new vehicle products, including trucks and fire engines, and said the Port Sudan city center represents a qualitative expansion, offering high-efficiency maintenance services, spare parts, and lubricants. He added that GIAD has executed major contracts in River Nile, Sennar, and White Nile states, in addition to a contract to supply school desks for Khartoum State.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Chief Executive Officer and Director of GIAD Motors, Engineer Al-Fatih Awad Abdullah, announced that Sudan’s first electric vehicle project will be launched in the first quarter of 2026, describing it as a strategic boost to the national economy due to reduced fuel consumption and lower maintenance costs.
He added that new sedan models and buses of varying capacities will also be introduced as part of GIAD’s efforts to support state institutions with high-quality vehicles at competitive prices and affordable operating costs.
