Khartoum, (Nabaa Sudan) – Sudanese legal and political expert Dr. Nabil Adeeb presented a political vision for the national dialogue aimed at resolving the Sudanese crisis, stressing that the challenges facing the country require adherence to “national principles” and preservation of Sudan’s unity.
Speaking at a press conference at the Dialogue Committee’s headquarters, Adeeb said that any proposal calling for the partition of Sudan or undermining its unity is “unacceptable and completely rejected,” stressing that Sudan must remain one and united under a single political framework.
He explained that his vision is based on four main pillars, including upholding Sudan’s unity and rejecting calls for partition and fragmentation, as well as adopting a decentralized system of government suited to the nature of the country and ensuring the participation of all its regions.
The vision also calls for respecting Sudan’s diverse identities and cultures and integrating them into an inclusive Sudanese identity, in addition to establishing a genuine democratic system in which political power is exercised through free elections and away from authoritarianism.
Adeeb added that decision-making and the adoption of decisions at the current stage should be based on consensus or “relative consensus,” with a high majority of up to 90% and no fundamental objection, in order to ensure stability in the political landscape.
He noted that contacts had begun with political forces, groups, blocs, and parties to coordinate efforts and exchange views on the venue, timing, and agenda of the upcoming dialogue.
