KHARTOUM (Nabaa Sudan) — Official spokesperson for the Sudanese-‎Sudanese Dialogue Preparatory Committee, has expected that the ‎dialogue process will gain momentum in the coming period following ‎what he described as a fruitful meeting with Jaafar Al-Sadig Mohamed ‎Osman Al-Mirghani, head of the Democratic Bloc Alliance and deputy ‎leader of the Democratic Unionist Party (Origin), along with several ‎Democratic Bloc leaders.‎

The meeting was held at the premises of the late Al-Sayed Ali Al-‎Mirghani in central Khartoum.‎

Othman Mirghani said the meeting provided an opportunity to ‎exchange information and expertise that could help prepare for the ‎dialogue and accelerate the procedures required to advance it to the ‎next stage. He noted that Democratic Bloc leaders presented rich ‎experiences and perspectives that would be incorporated into the ‎committee’s agenda.‎

He explained that holding the meeting at a venue of historical ‎significance carried important implications, particularly regarding the ‎return of national issues and the Sudanese agenda to the country. He ‎considered bringing the dialogue back onto Sudanese soil one of the ‎committee’s principal objectives.‎

Othman Mirghani added that the meeting addressed several issues ‎related to preparations for the dialogue and involved an exchange of ‎views on the steps needed to advance a process capable of addressing ‎longstanding unresolved issues in Sudan’s history and laying the ‎groundwork for restoring the country’s stability and normal ‎functioning.‎

The committee’s spokesperson expressed hope that the positive spirit ‎prevailing during the meeting would help accelerate the Sudanese-‎Sudanese dialogue process and produce outcomes that meet the ‎aspirations of the Sudanese people, who, he said, have now become ‎more eager to see the results of the dialogue than to wait for the ‎preparatory phase to conclude.‎

He stressed the importance of continuing meetings with the ‎Democratic Bloc and other political forces, emphasizing that all parties ‎share a collective responsibility and a common goal: serving Sudan ‎and its people.‎
