Khartoum, (Nabaa Sudan) – Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris was briefed on Monday by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salem on the outcomes of Sudan’s participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
In a press statement, the Foreign Minister said he presented the Prime Minister with a report on the participation of the Sudanese delegation, including the meetings held on the sidelines with a number of heads of delegations from participating countries and representatives of international and regional organizations, as well as participation in activities held on the margins of the General Assembly meetings.
Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salem said the meeting also discussed the overall plans and programs to be implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the remainder of this year, which the Hope Government has designated as the year for achieving peace and security throughout the country, in line with the efforts being undertaken by the brave Armed Forces on the ground.
The Foreign Minister affirmed that the diplomatic battle being waged by his ministry is aimed at supporting the Armed Forces and the forces supporting them, noting that he had received specific directives and assignments from Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris, which the ministry will work to implement during the coming period.
