Swedish academic Professor Ashok Swain said in a post on X that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is not the only party involved in the devastating civil war in Sudan, but that its close ally, Israel, is also involved.
He added that Israel provides intelligence and military support to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), the militia waging a bloody war against the Sudanese Army.
It is worth noting that Professor Ashok Swain is a Swedish academic and public intellectual. He is Professor of Peace and Conflict Research at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University in Uppsala, Sweden. He was appointed in 2017 as the UNESCO Chair on International Water Cooperation, becoming the first UNESCO Chair at Uppsala University.
