Khartoum, (Nabaa Sudan) – The Sudanese Revolutionary Awakening Council denied the authenticity of statements and remarks circulating under the names of Council Chairman Sheikh Musa Hilal Abdullah and Secretary-General Dr. Abdulrahman Hassan Saeed, affirming that they were fabricated and did not represent the positions of the Council or its leaders.
In a statement, the Council said Musa Hilal does not carry a mobile phone and has no official pages or accounts on social media. It explained that the Council’s official statements and remarks are published exclusively through its official Facebook page and by the Media Secretariat and its official spokesperson.
The Council said the circulation of fabricated statements was part of a campaign targeting its leaders, seeking to tarnish their image, spread rumors, and fabricate disputes between the Council’s leadership and the Sudanese government and army leadership, as well as between the Council and components of Sudanese society.
It called on media outlets, journalists, and activists to exercise accuracy and verify information sources before publishing or circulating any statements or remarks attributed to its leaders, affirming that it reserved the right to take legal action against entities and individuals deliberately publishing or circulating such statements.
