The field commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, identified as Ali Jaid, was killed during the recent fierce battles in North Kordofan after sustaining decisive strikes by the Sudanese Armed Forces and supporting forces during ongoing military operations in the area.
The slain RSF commander had received intensive training in a Gulf country on operating and managing drones and their field deployment before joining the fighting and overseeing the militia’s technical operations. His death marks a significant loss to the RSF’s technical capabilities, according to reports.
