President of the Sovereignty Council (SC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, on Wednesday conducted a field visit to the Federal Ministry of Health in Khartoum.
Al-Burhan commended the ministry’s staff and all medical personnel, praising their major role in the Battle of Dignity and their continued commitment to providing healthcare services to citizens despite the prevailing challenges and exceptional circumstances.
The SC President reaffirmed his commitment to providing full support to Sudan’s health sector, particularly in the fight against epidemics. He announced support for the Federal Vector Control Support Team, including the provision of 15 vehicles to assist with field spraying operations, in addition to further support for the ministry and healthcare workers.
For his part, Federal Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim expressed his appreciation to the TSC President for his attention to the health sector and for the substantial support extended. The minister also presented a comprehensive report on the current health situation in Sudan.
