The Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare, Mua’tasim Ahmed Saleh, met on Friday in Geneva with Amy Pope, Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), to discuss strengthening cooperation in the areas of voluntary return, reintegration, and recovery.
The meeting reviewed prospects for enhancing joint coordination between the two sides in support of efforts related to voluntary return programmes and sustainable reintegration mechanisms, in addition to post-return recovery initiatives aimed at stabilizing affected communities.
Both sides underscored the importance of continued partnership to address migration-related challenges and to support durable solutions that contribute to stability and development.
