Sudan Reaffirms Full Support for Saudi Arabia’s Right to Protect Its Ports and National Security

علم السودان

Sudan has reaffirmed its full support for Saudi Arabia and its right to take all necessary measures to protect its ports and safeguard its national security.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation voiced deep concern over Houthi militia threats to impose a naval blockade on Saudi ports, warning that such actions would endanger Red Sea shipping and harm the security and economic interests of littoral states.

The ministry said the threats would undermine security and stability across the Gulf and Red Sea regions, with wider implications for regional security.

Sudan urged the Houthi militia to refrain from any hostile action against Saudi or other Red Sea ports, and called on the regional and international communities to step up pressure and take decisive action to counter terrorist militias and eliminate the threats they pose.
