The Governor of the Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minnawi, said he discussed key priorities related to internally displaced persons (IDPs) with the Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz, with a particular focus on the provision of shelter and food assistance.
Minnawi explained that the talks addressed urgent humanitarian needs at Tawila camp in North Darfur, as well as in other parts of the country hosting displaced populations.
In a post on Facebook, the Darfur Region Governor expressed his gratitude to the Turkish government for its sustained support for humanitarian efforts in Sudan, commending Ankara’s role in improving living conditions for IDPs in Darfur.
