PORT SUDAN (Nabaa Sudan) – Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Malik Agar on Wednesday met with Zimbabwe’s delegation participating in the Red Sea Forum on Security and Development (Port Sudan Forum on Security and Development 2026), on the sidelines of the event.
The meeting discussed the war in Sudan and the role of national liberation movements and African struggles in freeing African countries from economic and political dependency and interference in their internal affairs.
Agar said Zimbabwe, having emerged from numerous crises, has an important role to play in contributing to the stability of its sister countries across Africa. He also underscored the importance of coordination with Zimbabwe ahead of its upcoming term as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, from 1 January 2027 to the end of 2028.
