Al-Eisir: People's Resistance Is a National Duty Against Foreign Aggression, Not an Internal Conflict
Sudan’s Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism, Khalid Al-Eisir, affirmed that people's mobilization and resistance are not unprecedented or exceptional acts but rather a longstanding trait of nations facing major challenges that threaten their security and survival.
Speaking at the 40th Briefing Conference of the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), which hosted the National Committee for Mobilization and People's Resistance chaired by Lt. Gen. Bashir Maki Al-Bahi, the minister stated that the ongoing war in Sudan “is not an internal conflict, as some skeptics claim, but a foreign aggression and invasion targeting the Sudanese people, their land, and their sovereignty.”
Al-Eisir questioned the relevance of countries such as Colombia, neighboring states, and certain sub-Saharan African nations to Sudan’s political, security, and economic decision-making, emphasizing that such involvement reflects agendas unrelated to the interests of the Sudanese people.
He urged all those who truly wish to defend Sudan to “join the broad national front, stand with the People's Resistance and the Armed Forces, and confront the external aggression facing the country,” stressing that the current stage requires national consensus, people's support, and unity between military and civilian forces, alongside the full mobilization of the state’s capacities.
The minister also extended the government’s condolences to the families of the martyrs in El-Fashir and Bara, expressing Sudan’s gratitude to the countries and peoples that have supported its just cause in defense of its sovereignty. He further commended the vital role of local and international media in supporting the Sudanese cause and conveying its truth to the world.
