Al-Hilal Crowned Rwandan League Champions, Team Returns to Khartoum Ahead of Elite League

الهلال

Al-Hilal secured the Rwandan Premier League title with three weeks remaining in the season after defeating Gasogi United 2-1 on Wednesday, raising its tally to 73 points — a total its rivals can no longer surpass.

The Sudanese club had previously won the Mauritanian league title last year and also claimed the Sudanese Elite League championship, achieving a unique feat by winning league titles in three different countries over three consecutive years after the war forced the club to adopt foreign leagues as temporary home grounds for CAF competitions.

Al-Hilal’s delegation is scheduled to return to Khartoum on Thursday in preparation for participation in the Sudanese Elite League, which begins on Friday, May 15. The club’s reserve side will remain in Rwanda to complete the remaining league fixtures.
