Higher Education Minister: Return of All Universities to Original Campuses Is Final, No Exceptions

Sudan’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Moudawi Musa, confirmed that arrangements for the return of students inside Sudan have been completed, stressing that the decision for all higher education institutions to return to their original campuses is final and allows no exceptions.

He said public and private universities have responded to the decision as part of efforts to restore academic activities and contribute to reconstruction efforts.

During a visit to the temporary campus of the University of Al-Geneina in Shambat, the minister said the ministry is implementing a higher education reform and development program that includes digital transformation, strengthening quality assurance and academic accreditation, upgrading university lecturers, and implementing solar energy projects and a unified digital platform for universities.

He also announced the readiness of the National Student Welfare Fund to resume providing its services alongside the return of students, affirming that students remain among the state’s top priorities in the coming period.
