Prime Minister Prof. Kamil Idris affirmed the Hope Government’s support for youth, junior, and grassroots sports programmes, describing young people as the foundation for building Sudan’s future. He noted that the return of sporting competitions to Khartoum represents an important step toward strengthening social stability and reviving national spirit.
His remarks came during the launch of the junior and youth league competitions in Khartoum State, attended by a number of federal and state officials, where he stressed the importance of supporting sports and cultural activities and developing youth capacities.
Idris called for replicating Khartoum’s experience in supporting youth sports sectors across the remaining states, while the Khartoum Wali and the Federal Minister of Youth and Sports underscored the role of sports in community-building, talent development, and strengthening stability.
