Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Limaa Abdel-Ghaffar Khalafallah, praised Russia’s firm support for Sudan during its current crisis and said Khartoum seeks to build a strategic partnership with Moscow.
Speaking at the Second Ministerial Conference of the Russia–Africa Partnership Forum in Cairo, she cited the Economic and Trade Cooperation Protocol signed last September and confirmed strong political will to deepen bilateral ties, noting that 2026 will mark 70 years of cooperation between the two countries.
Limaa Khalafallah welcomed progress under the Russia–Africa partnership, including the 2023–2026 Action Plan, and said it supports Africa’s Agenda 2063. She also called for reforms to the international system—particularly the UN Security Council—criticized double standards, and expressed hope that the partnership would bolster peace and security by countering terrorism, mercenaryism, and transnational crime.
