Prime Minister: We Presented the Peace Initiative in Munich and Welcome the Trilateral Initiative

Prime Minister Kamil Idris announced that he presented the Sudanese government’s national peace initiative during his participation in the Munich Security Conference.
Idris confirmed Sudan’s welcome of the “trilateral initiative” led by the United States, the Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, the Prime Minister revealed that his government secured international backing on a number of humanitarian and health-related issues on the sidelines of meetings with international organizations. He said those organizations approved Sudan’s requests concerning migration issues and support for civilians affected by the war, under what he described as the country’s exceptional circumstances.
He stated that the government provided international bodies with documented information regarding war crimes targeting civilians during the conflict, affirming that the war was imposed on Sudan and that the government is pursuing a peace-oriented approach aimed at ending the conflict.
Idris further announced that the World Health Organization (WHO) approved Sudan’s requests to support the national health system, noting that the government has called for assistance to eradicate malaria in the country rather than merely contain it.
He also reiterated the government’s position designating the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia as a terrorist organization, stating that it had previously been part of the state before being dissolved and turning into fragmented militia groups.
