Health Minister: Health Sector Losses Initially Estimated at $11 Billion; Saudi Arabia Among Key Supporters

Minister of Health, Haitham Mohammed Ibrahim, affirmed that the health sector has incurred severe losses due to the ongoing war, noting that destruction has affected all states of Sudan, including the sabotage of hospitals and healthcare facilities, as well as the looting of medicines, vehicles, and mobile health units.
In an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, the minister explained that preliminary estimates of the total losses amount to approximately $11 billion, emphasizing that the final figure will become clear once the war concludes, particularly given that parts of the country are currently under the control of the Rapid Support Forces militia.
