Federal Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim chaired a meeting with the UNICEF Representative to discuss joint coordination on water, sanitation, and environmental health, recognizing them as key factors affecting public health and the spread of disease.
The meeting reviewed plans for a five-year national environmental health strategy, the coordination of organizations operating in the sector, and the implementation of initiatives to improve access to water in public roads and marketplaces while strengthening environmental protection and safeguarding water resources.
The minister underscored the importance of UNICEF's support for these efforts to help improve environmental sanitation services and ensure a safe and healthy environment for citizens.
